The General Administration of Customs: China exported 27.429 million tons of steel in the first quarter, up 6.3% year-on-year
Data from the General Administration of Customs on April 14th shows that China exported 10.456 million tons of steel in March 2025. From January to March,
the cumulative export of steel reached 27.429 million tons, increasing by 6.3% year-on-year.
China imported 501,000 tons of steel in March. From January to March, the cumulative import of steel was 1.55 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 11.3%.
In March, China imported 93.974 million tons of iron ore and its concentrates. From January to March, the cumulative imports of iron ore and its concentrates
reached 285.312 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 7.8%.
In March, China imported 38.732 million tons of coal and lignite. From January to March, the cumulative imports of coal and lignite reached 114.846 million tons,
a year-on-year decrease of 0.9%.
